Quantum Leap (QL), a cutting-edge Portuguese technology startup, today confirmed the announcement at this year’s Web Summit of Sonoplast™, its new music platform for synchronization and commercial spaces.
we felt there was a gap in the market for a new music service
“I’ve always had my heart in the creative industries, with a special focus on the audio and music ones. I’ve always wanted to put technology at the service of said industries, and we felt there was a gap in the market for a new music service that could serve both the videographers and YouTubers (synchronization) space, but at the same time the needs of general commercial spaces that enhance their customer experience journey with background music, all at a much higher quality over quantity ratio and lower price point than the current competition” said Ricardo Lopes, chief executive officer of QL.
With this offering, QL is creating a new music streaming and download platform, that is based on high-quality music and sounds fx that are 100% proprietary aka “white-label”, and as such besides being royalty-free in the sync use-case, are also, on the other hand, free from any other fees to 3rd party authors, composers, performers’ rights societies, bringing massive savings for its clients.
The Sonoplast™ platform fuses both the software engineering and AV production teams at QL, resulting in a state-of-the-art solution using the latest technology cores in a solution in its category. From the best backend audio storage and streaming infrastructure, and application development, to the world's best music production software, hardware, and raw artist talent, the result is the absolute best music quality and user experience ever putting it in a league of its own.
The technology stack also includes an innovative and proprietary audio watermarking technology developed from the ground up to protect all the content from being abused or misused.
With a single low-cost monthly or annual fee, both sync and commercial space clients have unlimited access to the full (+2000 and counting every day) high-quality music and sound fx library, that covers every known (and unknown) genre or mood needed.
The solution is in an advanced R&D stage but set for general availability in Q2 2021 with selected videographers, YouTubers, and retail chains beta-testing the platform already in Q1 2021.
